How To Reach Desroches Island Beach Hotel & Villas
Just take a 30 minute scheduled or charter flight from Mahe and you will arrive at your beach hotel suite or villa 230km away on the unspoiled Desroches Island, Seychelles. Desroches is the largest of the coralline islands in the Seychelles and is part of the Amirantes group of islands to the south west of Mahe. Prior to becoming a marine conservation area and home to the exclusive beach hotel and villas, the 5 km long by 1.5km wide Desroches Island was largely uninhabited and it has only one small Creole village. Mahe is the main island in the Seychelles with 80,000 inhabitants and houses the capital city, Victoria. Hotel accommodation is provided in 20 private, free-standing luxury suites standing on the edge of the palm-fringed west-facing beach of Desroches Island. Each suite has a king-size double bed (or twin beds if desired), an integral living area and is glass-fronted with a spacious outside patio with loungers looking onto the beach and ocean beyond.
A well-designed bathroom contains double basins, a covered outdoor bath, an outdoor shower and separate wc/bidet. The suites are fully air-conditioned with a plasma screen satellite television with a selection of channels in English and French. They are equipped with a fully-stocked mini bar, telephone, hair-dryer, shaver outlet, electric safe and two bicycles per suite.
Luxury Beach Villas
In addition to the beach hotel suites, guest accommodation on Desroches Island includes 26 fully-equipped deluxe beach villas positioned on the fringe of the north west facing beach. Set amongst the palm trees and green forest foliage, the authentically designed villas look out onto the pristine, sandy white beach and clear blue sea. They contain a minimum of 4 spacious en-suite bedrooms, leading onto a main entertainment area and deck with a rim-flow swimming pool. Each room has a private outdoor shower and luxurious bathroom with separate wc/bidet. In addition, the beach villas have a fully equipped modern culinary kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, kettle, ice machine, 2 fridge/freezers, washing machine and dryer.
All rooms are fully air-conditioned with a fully-stocked mini bar, telephone, hair-dryer, shaver outlet and electric safe. Beach villas are equipped with a plasma screen satellite television with a selection of channels in English and French, DVD player, iPod connection, 2 kayaks and bicycles.
