What another amazing season we have had at Desroches Island…

One of the highlights standing out is the much talked about sighting of the Orcas, yha that is right Killer whales spotted between Desroches Island and St. Josephs atoll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is only the second time Orcas have been spotted in this area.
These pictures was taken by Llewellyn one of our fly fishing guides. Mantra (boat in pictures) first spotted the +- 10 amazing Orcas.
They staid between the 2 boats for +- 15min and before Dil-e-cat (skippered by Wesley) Mantra (skippered by Thomas) spend more than 30min with them…

These boats are charged on a hr rate and it is nice for just nipping around the corner doing some light tackle fishing, plugging, vertical jigging and trolling.

The best activities team in the Seychelles!!!!

We have a good mix of professional Naui + Padi scuba diving instructors to some of the best fishing guides the indian ocean has to offer.

Starting from the back left is a new comer to our team and specialising in bill fishing and exploring Desroches for Marlin, Johnboy, next to him is Nickmann - started out as a deckhand with us just completed his skippers licence and is currently the main skipper for the dive and he is also a rescue diver, to his right is George, he know's these waters the best working before on Desroches for 5years, he is a Padi instructor, skipper and fishing guide and also fly-fishing guide, next to him we also have a new skipper joining the team of professionals Steven, he has taken over the name from Wayne as the sailfish whisperer... Then we have a new deckhand Stuard, not only is he learning fishing he is one of our main snorkeling guides. To the right of stuard we have Wesley one of our main fishing guides/skippers also new to our team, it has only been 2months and he has find couple of spots for GT's... Henk to his right who is in charge of the fishing has been on Desroches for over a year he is not only one of the main skippers and fishing guides also a fly-fishing guide.
The last 4 in the front row starting from the right also been with as for a while working as a deckhand Randy also has completed his skippers, he is also a great fisherman and has learnt a lot. Rodel, not just a deckhand also looking after guests going for a kayak, hydrobike or even a windsurf. Next to Rodel is Jacques a Naui instructor/skipper and also fishing guide, he has been on Desroches for 2years. Far left in the front row we have Mary-Joy, never before has this water sports centre looked so clean and organised.

Nickmann has just completed his Skippers Ticket.

He first joined Desroches as a Deckhand at Cast-A-Way with no knowledge about being a skipper. He is now a great skipper.
